Brevity and Truth

I usually use this site just to “think out loud” in the morning and that can get quite lengthy.
Thought this would be refreshing to some…my being brief.

Amazing statement by Zechariah in Chapter 7, given our current political winds:
9 “This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. 10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’

11 “But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears. 12 They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.” (NIV)

Interesting reflection on the things that trouble our Lord…Zechariah used a stronger word.

Think about it!

  1. John – You never stop amazing me with your insight for over 25 years. How do we actually look at others today? Do we take to heart what is actually said here in Chapter 7 or to once again avoid the words that have been told us in a very clear manner by our Lord. Hello to LaDonna & Summer. Thank you – Jim
