A life coach, John has served a variety of roles on his own life journey. In fact, five key sectors: both public and private education, multiple religious denominational roles, a three term mayor, board leadership in various nonprofits, as well as consultant in various marketplace initiatives.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Community Education & Resource Development, as well as an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S) in Leadership & Administration from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. John is an ordained minister and attends Reynolda Presbyterian.
He is married to LaDonna Bost, an interior designer, and has one daughter, Summer Bost, a Principal with the WSFC Schools.
He founded, developed and has served on the board of Assembly Terrace; a church sponsored non-profit offering favorable housing for seniors, as well as, a two term appointment with the Ten Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness.
He served two four-year terms on the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Planning Board; served on the boards of various Early Childhood initiatives; as well as being actively involved in several Community Development Corporations.
He was a previous chairman of Leadership Winston-Salem, a three term Mayor of the Village of Clemmons and served two years as Chair of the Clemmons Community Foundation.
An entrepreneur, John is licensed with the N.C Real Estate Commission and the Department of Insurance, owner of Master Counsel and Associates, Inc., and co-founder of three other start-up companies.
